Meet Our Team

SMILES OF SOLIDARITY is a non-profit organization founded by two siblings, Patryk Dabek, a Biology and Economics student at Yale, and Kinga Dabek, a dental student at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. It arose from the two students’ interest in medical equity and drive to help the Slavic community. Both 20-year-old Patryk Dabek and 23- year-old Kinga Dabek of East Rutherford N.J. have spent their whole childhood around the Polish and Ukrainian communities—attending Polish Day school and being actively involved in the Pulaski Parade Committee and Slavic youth groups. As children of Polish immigrants, they believe that health care should be accessible for everyone, including those threatened by humanitarian crisis and living in conflict areas. They are working to improve healthcare in a manner that centers around health equity, cultural competency and humanistic medicine.
